If your customer is a large OEM with net-zero targets, they will want evidence that your raw materials come from a supply chain with verifiable environmental data.

- A 2% variation in material property is a critical failure.
Scenario B is for you if:
- You’re doing R&D, prototyping, or small-batch production.
- You’re a smaller company or a startup without a massive procurement team.
- You’re trying a new polymer for the first time (e.g., testing an ABS substitute).
Scenario C is for you if:
- Your end customer is demanding sustainability documentation.
- You’re in an industry with regulatory pressure (automotive, packaging, construction).
- “The report” is as important as “the product.”
And yes—sometimes you’re in two scenarios at once. A large order with sustainability requirements? That’s A and C combined. A small test batch for a new product line that needs to meet green standards? That’s B and C. The key is knowing which part of the process to prioritize.
